About the event
Karst Science Days is an event organised by the Institute of Speleology "Emil Racoviță" and the Department of Biological Sciences of the Romanian Academy, with the aim of bringing together students (bachelor's, master's and doctoral) and young researchers in the fields of karstology and subterranean biology.
The event offers the opportunity to share information about ongoing research, to debate theoretical and practical topics related to scientific activity, and to discuss perspectives and experiences in the research field.
The event is addressed to:
- Students in the last two years of their bachelor's degree
- Master's students
- Doctoral students
- Young researchers in training
Purpose of the event
Preparing students and young researchers for the next stage of their career through education and continuous training.
Forming the next generation of researchers through knowledge sharing and dissemination of information about the subterranean environment.
Promoting collaboration, networking and a spirit of engagement within the scientific community dedicated to the study of karst ecosystems.
Contributing to the dissemination of information about various aspects of the subterranean environment and karst ecosystems.
Programme
The symposium is structured around two main themes — karstology and subterranean biology — and includes 15-minute oral presentations and a poster session.
